We used the software/language Processing (built on Java) to create most of these self-generative, animated artworks.

My piece was both a commentary on how the exceedingly high-pressure expectations of students in today’s society can lead to drug abuse, and a visualization of how stressful it feels to be on stimulants, as a student with ADHD. I have mixed feelings about these drugs because I hate the side effects but they do help me. For context, the Netflix documentary Take Your Pills had just come out, and I had been recently prescribed Adderall, but I never liked taking it because of the side effects. Every brain is different, but we’re all graded on the same criteria, & it’s hard not to compare yourself with others, but ultimately success looks different for every individual.
